EF-1 Tornado Touches Down In “HawkPoint, Mo”

Viper Quad-Copter 1 went up in the air this evening behind the storms that caused moderate damage in the City of Hawk Point. Emergency Crews where dispatched to the area of Hwy 47 & Hwy D for a structure collapase at a local business “Bare Knuckle Choppers” around 6:45pm Saturday evening. Damage in Hawk Point appears limited to less than 50 homes and commercial buildings. One building was destroyed and several others with varying levels of damage. There are NO INJURIES reported. On Sunday, the National Weather Service conducted a survey of the damage in and around Hawk Point and determined that a tornado did touch down southwest of town near Prairie Rd. Initial estimates are the tornado was a EF1 with winds of at least 110 mph.
