NO-WAKE Order Lifted At ‘Lake Of The Ozarks’

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – The no-wake policy at the Lake of the Ozarks has been lifted, effective immediately.  The order went into effect Thursday due to high lake levels following Wednesday’s heavy rains. The Department of Public Safety and the Missouri State Highway Patrol have been monitoring conditions at the Lake and now say that water levels have dropped sufficiently to allow for the restrictions to be lifted.

Water levels dropped quickly thanks in part to Ameren Missouri opening the floodgates of the Bagnell Dam, allowing water to rapidly be released into the Osage River. The goal was to get the level of Lake of the Ozarks to 660 feet. Current water level at 9AM Saturday is 660.16
