Mike Shannon’s Steaks & Seafood Restraunt Closing after 30+ Years of Buisness in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – A downtown landmark is closing after 30 years of business. St. Louis Cardinals broadcaster Mike Shannon says he’s closing his downtown St. Louis restaurant, Mike Shannon’s Steaks and Seafood.

Shannon’s, as it was often called, is known for great steak, an awesome atmosphere, and local sports history and memorabilia.

The restaurant will close in two weeks on January 30, 2016.

Shannon said he felt it was time to close his doors in downtown, leaving on high note. Shannon says he and his team plan to focus on opportunities for Mike Shannon’s Grill franchise expansion. Shannon says his restaurants at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport and Edwardsville, Illinois will remain open.

Shannon thanked all of the customers throughout the years and hopes customers will stop by in the next two weeks to say farewell.
