ST. LOUIS, MO – A rock band on tour through St. Louis fell victim to thieves, police say.
Thousands of dollars’ worth of instruments and personal items are gone from the van belonging to the heavy metal band, “Black Crown Initiate”.
Police say the band parked their van near ‘The Schlafly Tap Room’ on Locust Street to get something to eat on August 15.
When the band returned to their van, all of their belongings, including $5,000 in cash were stolen, according to police.
Officers say this incident is at least the eighth touring band in St. Louis to have their van, belongings or equipment stolen in the past year.
