150 Pounds Of Marijuana Seized In Traffic Stop

WARRENTON, MO – Two male suspects from the State of California were arrested after a traffic stop that resulted in the discovery and seizure of approximately 150 pounds of marijuana with an approximate street value of 1/4 million dollars.

On January 4, 2018 at approximately 10:00pm WCSD Sergeant Josh Malin was returning to the Warrenton area after working a violent physical domestic off Hwy B in Western Warren County when he observed a vehicle driving erratically through the new overpass construction zone on Interstate 70.

A traffic stop was conducted on Highway 47 in Warrenton. The K-9 team from the Wright City Police Department (Patrolman Andrew Huston and K-9 Athena) was called to assist in the traffic stop. WCSD Corporal Dean Jackson also responded to assist in the stop. The K-9 alerted on the vehicle and approximately 150 pounds of marijuana was located in 6 different duffle bags in the rear of the vehicle.

The two white male suspects are currently incarcerated in the Warren County Jail pending formal charges.
