2 bodies found inside Ballwin home

BALLWIN, Mo. – Police are investigating after two bodies were found inside a home.

Right now, there’s not a whole lot of information but we do know police found two decomposing bodies, a man and a woman, inside a home after a mail carrier got concerned and called them to do a welfare check.

They noticed the mail was piling up in a mailbox at this home here on Sunnyslope Drive. The mail carrier called police between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, requesting a welfare check.

Illinois bill could mean fewer traffic stops for speeding, other offenses

Sunnylope Drive is near Claymont Drive and less than two miles from the Ballwin police department. The officers gained access to the home, where they made the grim discovery.

Given the state of decomposition the bodies were in, the medical examiner will be performing an autopsy to determine these people’s identities and the exact causes of death. The police have not released the names, genders, or ages of the two people who died.

FOX 2 will update this story with more information as it becomes available.
