FERGUSON, Mo. – A person was dragged from their home in Ferguson overnight, and shot and killed on their front lawn.
The Ferguson Police Department received a call just after 3:45 a.m. Sunday for a home invasion in the 1500 block of Knollstone Drive.
Officers arrived to find the victim shot to death in front of the residence.
Investigators learned several individuals broke into the home looking for money before grabbing the victim.
The victim’s name has not been released, pending notification of family members.
Ferguson police contacted the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis for assistance with the investigation.
Approximately 17 members of the Major Case Squad have been assigned to the investigation.
