Missing St. Charles County teen found safe in downtown St. Louis

O’FALLON, Mo. – A teen that was reported missing has been located safe late Wednesday evening, according to the St. Charles County Police Department.

He was located by police walking in downtown St. Louis around 8 p.m., which was a little over 24 hours after he was last seen.

“Praise the Lord! We’ve been praying, we are so happy, I can’t even begin to tell you,” Margaret Porch, the boy’s teacher, said. “We are thrilled to no end. He’s a great kid.”

The 16-year-old was last seen leaving Liberty Church in O’Fallon. His car was later found abandoned in north St. Louis.

“We’ve been praying for him since we found out—not just my wife and I—but our whole church,” Justus Witty, pastor at Liberty Church, said. “I saw several thousand people shared his post on Facebook, so we’re saying praise Jesus, and I’m sure lots of others are too.”
