Huey Rides
Helicopter Rides

Fly with the Veterans and aircraft that made history! The entire family can purchase rides in a real Vietnam-era UH-1H “Huey” and in an real AH-1F Cobra Helicopter and fly with the very Veteran Combat Pilots and Crew that made military history. Prices for the Huey rides will be $75 per person for an 8-10 minute average length of flight. Two Cobra ride options are available. A 7-8 minute flight is available for $300 or a 13-15 minute flight for $500. Their highly experienced crews keep these historic and authentic aircraft in top condition. These Ride Programs have safely flown thousands of satisfied passengers. Proceeds from ride programs benefit local STEM and Veterans programs. (Tickets will be available for purchase beginning 9am each day May 3 -4, 2014. Rides will take place throughout the day, except when they and the Blue Angels perform)

B-17 Bomber Rides

EAA is offering historic flight experiences in its beautifully restored B-17G Flying Fortress “Aluminum Overcast.” One of only 13 Fortress’s still flying, this aircraft is an icon of the Allied strategic bombing effort that helped turn the tide of battle in World War II. Unlike reading a history book, you can actually fly a mission back in time and feel the might of this magnificent machine, just as those brave young men did more than 60 years ago.

B25 Rides

The Commemorative Air Force Missouri Wing will bring not one, but three vintage airplanes to Spirit of St Louis Air Show  on May 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Along with the B-25 “Show Me” Mitchell Bomber and the TBM-3 Avenger Torpedo Bomber will be the the Missouri Wing’s 1941 US Army Aeronca L-3E “Defender” observation aircraft, nicknamed “Lil Show-Me.” It fulfilled various roles throughout World War II, including observation of enemy troop movements, directing artillery fire and liaison duties. Because of its ability to land and take-off on rough terrain, the pilots and plane became known as “Grasshoppers.”
